Community Guide to Road Closures, Detours, Events & More!

The USA Pro Cycling Challenge is a seven day professional cycling race consisting of 16 of the world’s top teams and is one of the largest spectator sporting events to take place in the Colorado.

The City of Steamboat Springs is proud to host two stages – the overall race start from the Steamboat Ski Resort Base Area Promenade on ,and the Finish in downtown Steamboat Springs August 17th, and the Stage 2 Start on August 18th,We are anticipating thousands of people in town for the Finish of Stage 1.  The addition of visitors to the city will impact residents, businesses within the Steamboat community, as well as driving and bus routes.

 

Parking Information

STAGE 1 OVERALL START, FESTIVAL and RACE, SUNDAY, AUGUST 16 AND MONDAY, AUGUST 17, 2015:

Parking around downtown will be limited. Please bike, walk or use the FREE Steamboat Springs Transit Bus system if at all possible.

Public parking is located at the Steamboat Springs High School, Stock Bridge Transit Center, Wells Fargo Bank, and in the residential area of Old Town in downtown Steamboat Springs.

On Sunday parking will also be accessible at Howelsen Hill.

STAGE 2 START, TUESDAY AUGUST 18, 2015:

Public parking will be available at the Meadows Parking lot. The Wildhorse Gondola will be available to the public to access the race start. Again, parking will be limited at the Start so please bike, walk or use the FREE Steamboat Springs Transit Bus system if at all possible.

Bus Schedules

Stage 1 Finish, Monday August 17th, 2015 For much of the event, the FREE Steamboat Springs City Transit Buses will be operating the normal Summer Schedule.

Check-out the Route Maps to determine the best vantage point for you between Steamboat. Lincoln Avenue in Downtown Steamboat will closed to traffic, and wide open for spectators! There will be two megatron screens streaming the race live so you can watch the challenge as riders race from Breckenridge and over Rabbit Ears Pass. The US Pro Cycling Lifestyle Expo will line main street. There will also be a beer garden with brews and live music. Check-out the map below and the events schedule.

 

Television Broadcasts

The final arrival in to Denver will air on NBC on August 23 at 12pm MST.
